CASE STUDY #124:
Auburn, AL

“Using Python made this project go 110 times smoother than it would have with copper. Python Line Sets is a game changer and the future of line sets.”

– Brent B., Jackson Services

Project Details:
  • Completion: 2024
  • Location: Auburn, AL
  • Project Type: Residential
  • Size: 130 Units
  • Application: Mini-Split
  • Contractor: Jackson Services
  • Supplier: W.R. Bristow
  • Supplier Rep: Jamie Hill
The Challenges:
  • Run around many 2×4’s in tight areas.
  • Multi-building studio apartment complex with 130 mini-split units, going up to three stories.
  • New A2L refrigerants coming out.
The Solutions:
  • Python being kink-resistant and can be bent several times without causing damage to the pipe, making it really easy to maneuver in tight spaces.
  • 300ft. rolls allowed for more cuts and less wasted pipe.
  • Knowing Python is A2L compatible gives us peace of mind with the refrigerant standard changes being made over the next few years.
The Benefits:
  • Python’s fitting system cuts down the install time tremendously and you don’t have to worry about flaring too thick or thin. You bottom out the fitting and move on.
  • Very easy to maneuver and bend, which is great for mini-split units as the lines have to be ran through walls and tight attic spaces.
  • 300ft rolls of Python allowed for longer runs and the footage markings on the pipe gave us more precise lengths with less scrap.
  • Cost stabilization allowed for slow, continuous purchases of Python versus a large bulk buy of copper to help maintain project costs.
