The Challenges:
  • The white insulation from the previous line set created pinholes in the copper, making it almost impossible to find the leak.
  • Job requires flared fittings.
The Solutions:
  • Python insulation much more durable than other line sets.
  • No flaring required in this mini-split installation.
  • Much easier to bend. Installation much quicker running through crawlspaces.
The Benefits:
  • Lightweight- much easier to carry up ladders.
  • No brazing or flaring necessary in mini split applications.
  • Very easy to get onto the valve/fitting in tight locations when you use a swage tool to expand the line set.
